Job Title: Summer Camp Program Director
Duties: Responsible for operating and evaluating ACAP’s Summer Program for those in the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) population. The Program Director (PD) supervises all site supervisors, camp counselors, and camp assistants. The PD maintains timely communications with the board, executive team, staff, parents, and attendees, as well as with the community. The PD ensures financial stability by maintaining and following board budget recommendations and supporting fund raising efforts.
Duties:
- Periodically visit, observe, and participate in daily activities with each group at all sites.
- Ensure client and staff safety and security procedures are taught and followed in group settings and out in the community.
- Supervise daily details for each site with assistance from each site supervisor.
- Arrange for required training annually for all necessary staff.
- Maintain open communication with all staff and the executive team.
- Solicit feedback from site supervisors.
- Work with site supervisors to schedule and conduct camp counselor’s team meetings during the summer program.
- As needed, review and approve documented incident reports and formal grievances and keep the executive team apprised of all such reports.
- Ensure resolutions are implemented by all staff.
- Work with site supervisors to evaluate and place clients in appropriate groups.
- Recommend students for removal from the program and personally contact parents for follow through.
- Make final decisions on staff retention or termination after soliciting performance evaluations from site supervisors.
- Attend all scheduled meetings and report to the executive team.
- If unable to perform duties for any reason, ensure an adequate replacement is available to maintain daily activities for the duration of your absence.
- Be easily reached by cell phone daily, from 7am to 5 pm for the duration of the summer program.
- Be knowledgeable of, and adhere to, all ACAP policies and procedures.
- Other duties as necessary to perform the job responsibilities.
- Performance of job requires incidental travel within normal commuting distance of headquarters office to visit local program sites during the summer from late June to mid-August.

- Work Location: Full-time position at Autistic Community Activity Program (ACAP), located at 1900 SE Milport Rd., Milwaukie, OR 97222.
